Beyond Borders is an International Documentary Festival held in Kastellorizo on an Annual basis. It showcases a diverse selection of Documentaries from all over the world.
This year's festival centers on multiculturalism as a natural consequence of migration, with each personal story serving as an inspiration. For the 9th edition, a visual identity was created to communicate the festival’s optimistic view on migration and diversity. The design highlights the positive impacts of migration: cultural renewal, unity, and the beauty born from diversity.
The central concept portrays migration as a vibrant collection of personal stories, blending displacement, war, and resilience into a larger narrative of hope and rebirth. Distorted visuals symbolize cultural fusion, while the vivid color palette reflects the unique imprint of each story. The use of red references the iconic "Castello Rosso" of Kastellorizo, emphasizing human connection as the essence of all experiences.
This identity was applied to posters, programs, merchandise, and digital platforms, reinforcing the festival’s mission to celebrate diversity and foster dialogue through cinema.
